Privacy Policy

Last updated 6 August 2026

What we collect, how we use it, who can see it, and your rights under data protection laws.

1. Who we are

Vouch2 operates vouch2.com and is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, contact support@vouch2.com.

2. What we collect

Account data: name, email address, password credentials (handled by our authentication provider), and — if you sign in with Google — the basic profile information Google shares with us.

Profile data: headline, country and city, departments, job roles, skills and levels, licences and certifications, years of experience, availability, profile photo and short video clip.

Work history: hotels you worked at, their city and country, department, and start/end years.

Private contact data: date of birth, mobile number and contact email. This is stored separately and is never shown publicly.

Activity data: vouch requests and confirmations, pokes, offers and interview requests, alerts, share actions, and your Trust Score.

Business data: business name, city and country, venue type, departments, logo and subscription plan status.

Technical data: device and browser information, IP address, log data and cookie identifiers as described in the Cookie Policy.

3. Why we use it (and our legal bases)

To provide the platform — create your profile, match coworkers by hotel, run vouches and the Trust Score, and let businesses discover you (performance of a contract).

To protect the platform — detect fake vouches, impersonation, scraping and abuse (legitimate interests, legal obligation).

To communicate — vouch alerts, offer notifications and important service messages (contract, legitimate interests, or consent for browser push and marketing).

To improve the product — aggregated, non-identifying analytics (legitimate interests, or consent where required).

To take payments for business subscriptions through our payment processor (contract, legal obligation).

4. Who can see what

Visitors who are not signed in see a limited preview: first name or masked name, role, city, availability and Trust Score. No contact details, no date of birth.

Signed-in workers see other workers' public professional details — roles, skills, licences, hotels and vouches — but never contact details or date of birth.

Only businesses on a paid subscription can unlock private contact details (date of birth, mobile, email) and the reach-out features. Access is enforced by database-level rules, not just the interface.

Vouch2 does not sell your personal data.

5. Processors we rely on

We use trusted service providers to run the platform: cloud hosting and database/authentication/storage infrastructure, email delivery, a payment processor for business subscriptions, Google Places for hotel lookup, and analytics. They process data on our instructions under contract.

6. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms recognised under applicable data protection law.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account from your profile page at any time.

When you delete your account we remove your profile, work history, roles, skills, licences, private contact details, vouches, offers, alerts, uploaded photo and video, and your login. Aggregated statistics that no longer identify you, and records we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons, may be retained for the period required by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and the EU/UK GDPR — you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, to withdraw consent, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

To exercise any right, email support@vouch2.com. We respond within the timeframes set by applicable law.

9. Children

Vouch2 is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

We will post updates to this policy on this page and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email.
